USING COMPUTERS AT SAN BRUNO PUBLIC LIBRARY
San Mateo County residents must have or obtain a library card to use the Internet. Non-resident guests may receive one guest pass per day to use for 1-hour.
There is a 2-hour limit per day for workstations at the San Bruno Library.
Printing costs are 15 cents per page for black and white, 30 cents for color.
If you forget your card, you may present photo ID (up to 3 times) for card lookup.
You may save files to personal storage devices but not to the PC hard drive. USB drives are available for purchase at the Reference Desk.
Cardholders must use their own card. Use of multiple cards is not permitted.
Computers in the Main Room are to be used by adults or students in 9th grade and above.
Computers in the Children's Room are to be used by children in 8th grade and under.
Children under 7 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
The San Bruno Library also offers laptops for checkout within the library.
San Bruno Library's Internet computers run on Windows 7. We also offer Microsoft Office 2007.
The Internet and its available resources may contain material of a controversial nature. The San Bruno Public Library staff does not monitor and cannot control the information accessed through the Internet, and cannot be held responsible for its content.
In accordance with City Council policy, the Library has installed ContentProtect, a software program which blocks sexually explicit material. As with other library materials, restriction of a child's access to the Internet is the responsibility of the parent/legal guardian.
You may come into the Library to use our computers to print. Or you can print to the Library from your home computer, laptop, smart phone or mobile device!
