Upcoming Events

Can't participate in your favorite running/walking event? No Problem! We'll bring the event to you. The City of San Bruno is thrilled to host "SB Virtual 5K - Walk/Run For Fun.

Despite the unprecedented circumstances, the City of San Bruno wants everyone to stay active. This running/walking event allows registrants the ability to participate virtually. We encourage participants to use their neighborhood, parks, trails, or even a treadmill at home. Participants will have an entire week to complete the 5K in which results should be submitted to for final review (photo verification of participant's time via. Strava, Garmin, FitBit, MapMyRun, or any other device/mobile app will be required). Please note that we expect every participant to track their own time and distance. We expect honesty with results and trust that all participants will submit their real 5K running/walking times. The final results will be posted on the Community Services Facebook Page. @SanBrunoCommunityServices.

The City of San Bruno strongly encourages all event participants to adhere to State, County, and Local recommendations, as well as the practice of Social Distancing when participating.

Adopt-a-Park Program Information

Adopt A Park is a City of San Bruno program that allows community volunteers to assist in the care and maintenance of City parks, playgrounds, and open space areas.

Service Recognition Program

The City of San Bruno Service Recognition Program provides a way to honor the contributions of individuals or groups who have provided dedicated service to the San Bruno community. Both the Special and Extraordinary Service Recognition honor individuals and organizations who have served the community in a significant manner over an extended period of time. The nature of this service must demonstrate a positive impact on San Bruno residents and the individual or organization must be viewed as a community role model. Their contributions should be evident by new or enhanced programs or new or improved City facilities.

Community Recognition Award
Do you know a volunteer in the San Bruno community who is deserving of recognition for all the hard work and dedication he/she has demonstrated? If your answer is yes, please nominate him/her for a Community Recognition Award. The San Bruno Parks and Recognition Commission will review application and the award will be publicly presented to the deserving recipient at the televised Parks and Recreation Commission in April. Personal Tribute Program

The City of San Bruno Personal Tribute Program provides a way for people to honor or remember a loved one in the San Bruno community.

Recognition Sculpture Tribute - In tribute and remembrance, a loved one may be honored with a 3"x3" commemorative bronze plaque on the San Bruno Recognition Sculpture in City Park. Plaques are inscribed with the honoree's first and last name, the date of the recognition and with either "In Honor of" or "In Memory of."
