Commissions, Boards & Committees

The City of San Bruno has several Citizen Advisory Commissions, Boards and Committees, whose volunteer members are San Bruno residents appointed by the City Council. Members meet in the evening, once a month or less, serving staggered four-year terms that expire in October of every even year, at that time they may wish to seek re-appointment for another term. 

Applications are accepted at any time for any Commission, Board or Committee.  Please submit a completed application to the City Clerk’s Office by visiting City Hall, or via email at mthurman@sanbruno.ca.gov or vhasha@sanbruno.ca.gov.  For questions, please contact the City Clerk Department at (650) 616-7061.

There are currently four vacancies on San Bruno's Commissions, Boards and Committees.  There is one open seat on the Traffic Safety & Parking Commission, one vacancy on the Community Preparedness Committee, Crime Prevention Committee and one vacancy on the Planning Commission.  Please note, the Application Form and the Supplemental Application is required to be submitted for consideration for appointment on the Planning Commission. The deadline to apply to be considered for the open seats is Friday, February 14, 2020.
