To ensure San Bruno residents and businesses have water to use and wastewater collected, the San Bruno Public Works Department repairs, replaces and maintains current water and sewer pipelines and mains.
Changes in your Utility Bill
Solid Waste Service Charges
Pursuant to the Agreement, beginning July 1, 2023, Recology San Bruno will take over customer billing and collection of payments. Direct billing of solid waste services by Recology will streamline customer service for residents and businesses. Currently, customers must now contact the City for billing questions and Recology for operational issues such as missed pickups and service changes. Under the new service model, Recology will be the sole point of contact for all questions related to a customer’s bill and services.

Sewer Service Charges
The City of San Bruno is currently in the process of transitioning sewer service charges from the San Bruno utility bill to the San Mateo County property tax bill. Click here to learn more.
Find My Water Usage
San Bruno water customers can now access their water usage online! You can set up alerts and keep track of your hourly, daily, and monthly water usage!
Pay Your Utility Bill
Residents can pay utility bills using Online Bill Pay or our Pay-By-Phone at 855-748-3086. There is no charge for this service and it's convenient.

PG&E payments are not accepted by the City of San Bruno. To find a local office, please contact PG&E directly at 800-743-5000.

We are on a 5-year rate plan, and in the 5th year of rate increases.
