Code Enforcement Division
The Code Enforcement Division seeks to create a safer, more attractive environment for residents, workers and visitors in our City. As part of this program, the City Council has asked that this office take complaints, and also that we seek out easily corrected problems.
In all instances, we strive to gain voluntary cooperation from property owners by working with them to correct violations and upgrade property to a standard that will benefit not only residents and their immediate neighbors, but the entire community, as well.

COMMUNITY ORGANIZING
One of the most effective ways to deal with neighborhood issues is by neighbors getting together to work as a group on the problem(s). The Code Enforcement Division will work as a partner and facilitator for any group of neighbors with a common purpose to help create a community self-help program.
In the past, these common purposes have ranged from simple community building so that neighbors know one another better, to dealing with a problem house or an absentee landlord. We can also help neighbors to assemble the resources and personnel needed to solve or minimize the problem.
